What is the ‘Jesus shot’? What does it do?
The injection is known as Ai2 (anti-inflammatory) at our clinic. It is frequently also called the ‘Jesus Shot’ by some patients, especially those from Oklahoma.
We do not label this anti-inflammatory injection the ‘Jesus Shot’. Our staff refrains from calling this injection the ‘Jesus Shot’ simply because the term is irreverent and implies a magical or miraculous treatment.
Can this injection make the blind see? No. Can the paraplegic walk? No. Can this injection bring the dead back to life? No. Will this cure pains for the rest of your life? No.
The Ai2 may provide relief from your joint stiffness and aching muscles that are no doubt a result of and chronic inflammation. You may suffer from other health issues as well. With this Ai2 treatment we seek to provide alternatives to pain pills, expensive creams/lotions and sometimes surgical treatment for relief from your chronic aches and pains. |
What is in the ‘Jesus Shot’ injection?
Our anti-inflammatory injection has the same 3 key ingredients as the ‘Jesus Shot.’
The injection contains:
• Dexamethasone
• Kenalog
• Vitamin B12
Dexamethasone is a short acting corticosteroid that inhibits inflammation.
Kenalog is a longer-acting corticosteroid that distributes through your body to continue the fight against inflammation. Both steroids actually treat inflammation. Both offer many benefits to the body for short and long lasting effects.
Vitamin B12 is essential for our brains, nerve cells, and gut and offers many other benefits to our bodies. A lack or deficiency of vitamin B12 may manifest as symptoms such as muscle pain, weakness, irritability, fatigue, and anemia.
